Thunderstorm Detector (BTD-300)

Advanced Lightning Detection, Reliable Early Storm Warning   

The BTD-300 Thunderstorm Detector is a standalone lightning detection sensor designed to accurately identify all forms of lightning activity within an 83 km range. Using a unique quasi-electrostatic sensing principle, the detector delivers highly reliable storm detection with an exceptionally low false alarm rate while providing early warning of overhead lightning risks. Unlike conventional radio-based lightning detectors, the BTD-300 can reliably detect cloud-to-cloud lightning as well as weaker cloud-to-ground discharges, enabling greater storm sensitivity and earlier warning capabilities. Its electrostatic operating technology also allows the sensor to identify lightning risk before the first discharge occurs.
