Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR)
The TDR200 is the core of Buraq Integrated Solutions’ time-domain reflectometry system, designed to accurately measure soil volumetric water content, bulk electrical conductivity, rock mass deformation, or other time-domain parameters. A single Campbell Scientific data logger can control multiple TDR200 units.
The TDR200 sends a fast electromagnetic pulse through a coaxial line and probe, then digitizes the reflected waveform. Travel time and reflection amplitude are processed to deliver precise measurements. The data logger captures a 250-point waveform in about two seconds, with optional extended waveforms (up to 10,112 points) for long-cable applications such as slope stability and rock deformation. Advanced filtering ensures accuracy in noisy environments.
