Soil Heat Flux Plate
Part Number: HFP01
Ideal for Energy-Balance and Bowen-Ratio Systems
The HFP01 measures soil heat flux and provides a voltage output proportional to the heat flow within the soil. It is widely used in energy-balance and Bowen-ratio stations. For accurate spatial averaging, a minimum of two plates is recommended per site, with additional sensors required in heterogeneous soil conditions.
Benefits and Features
Provides accurate soil heat flux readings for energy-balance, evapotranspiration, and Bowen-ratio systems
Compatible with most Campbell Scientific dataloggers for seamless integration
Works with CWS900-series wireless interfaces to create wireless sensor networks
Rugged, weather-resistant construction for long-term deployment
Stable calibration and low thermal resistance for high-quality measurements
Suitable for research, agriculture, hydrology, and climate studies
